Explicit user data collection

Explicit user data collection happens when a user gives their info explicitly, via rating a product, filling out a survey or filling out basic profile info. A website could let the user fill in a basic survey, but users don’t like to fill in lists before using the application, so this may have a disadvantageous effect on the UX.
